Verdant Path evokes the abundant, winding, and unpredictable journey of self-knowledge and deep introspection. Cultivating curiosity and receptivity to all parts of ourselves is like developing soil from which new life can grow: to transform, we must also let ourselves loosen and break down what has hardened or become rigid. Change is not a stagnant process, happening through equal measures of authentic engagement, patience, and intentional experimentation. Only broken soil will produce verdant growth.

Collective acknowledges the transformative nature of relationships in guiding, reflecting, and bearing witness. We believe that relational work means continuously cultivating our own self-knowledge and understanding, and holding a willingness to be reciprocally impacted by the relationships we foster with our clients. To us, the hard work of psychological and emotional change is made possible by the community that supports you in the process — within and outside of the therapy room — for both the therapist and the client.

Our Rooted Values

Our paths are full of rich possibilities where healing and thriving exist through collaboration and connection. We believe that change happens in relationships that can reflect our strengths, hold our grief, and have the courage to explore the parts of ourselves we try to dismiss or hide.

We believe that deep change can only occur in the context of an attuned, trusting relationship that centers the unique strengths, beliefs, and identities of each individual.

We believe the human condition is complex, and we approach our clients’ experiences with curiosity and openness to the many meanings they hold.

We center feminist & queer perspectives in our work, believing that meaningful change and accountability are rooted in a deeper connection to our own humanity and expansiveness.

We recognize that profound transformation occurs through exploration beyond symptoms, turning instead toward the relational and systemic contexts that define our identities, our connections, and our place in the world.

We believe in intersectional practice, meaning we actively work to understand each client’s concerns within the context of power, privilege, and identity, and how those dynamics impact the therapeutic process and relationship.
